Long term listening project

This might seem crazy but.. in Jan 09 I decided to listen to all of Grateful Dead shows in order. Around this time I acquired an IPOD and discovered the "Archive" (multiple recordings of every gig). So I started with the beginning of 1986 and at this point I am in Oct. 1989. I will continue to 7/1990 (Brent's death) and then jump back to 1983-1985, then 1979-1982, then 1975-1978, then 1971-1974, and then 1967-1970. We'll see about 1965-1966, when I get to that point (probably be several years!). I listen to a lot of other stuff so most of this sequential listening happens either in the basement shop or the car. I must be at least a little crazy.

That's DEADicated for sure
I have listened to a lot of shows on tape and a few on disk but I'd never be able to do what you are gonna do. Good luck
I have a show from 66 I think at Troopers Hall, earliest I have.

thank you Jerry

Try SETI?

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

It is the journey not the destination that is important.

Ohh this sounds heavenly! I may have to start to rebuild my collection again. I had a lot of stuff stolen over the years and it's down to a just a few shows. Have fun with it! Enjoy the ride

check out etree.org. lots of soundboard quality shows on there. little bit of a pain as your have to convert them to a wav or mp3 format but has a huge list. I've gotten over 80 shows off there over the last few years.

They put out some amazing stuff from 75-78. Another favorite era was 89-90 when Brent was "peaking". Those shows at the Nick in Albany were awesome.
