USA vs. CANADA Rematch for the Gold

This is going to be one great game. Miller has be phenomenal. Hopefully Canada puts Brodeur in goal. I think Luongo with his style in net is the better net minder against USA.

Gonna be a war. Must see TV. Crowd will be so hostile and anti-US. I am nervous thinking about it.

Lets just hope Canada keeps forgetting to play as a team. It will be an amazing game if Miller plays the way he did and if the forwards play with the same tenacity on the fore-check as they have been. Thinking Canada is going to use their bodies to slow down the US guys.

True Tynan, we just can't match up with their size. Team USA needs to use their speed to try and neutralize their big bodies like Getzlaf and Nash. My keys to the game...

1. Puck possession - cycle the puck down low
2. Must take advantage of power plays
3. A red Hot Ryan Miller

The last usa/canada game was like an all start game that the players actually cared about. ITs going to be great. I have a friend who lives in Vancouver and she said the place is buzzing.

Everything is better on the rocks.

I hope the men play a better game than the women's team! Canada women have the USA women's number, what 7-0 lately?

Need to backcheck like crazy. Must cover the off wing or defenseman crashing weak side from high slot to low.
Hope they forecheck the crap out of Pronger. He is a weak link, and can be gotten off his game by getting him mad and over emotional => he takes bad penalties.
Shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. Put traffic in front of Luongo.
First opposition forward who comes through the crease, or puts a stick on Miller gets absolutely leveled, even if it means a penalty. (hope it is Getslaf or Crosby....)
Cannot be out hustled in any zone. Short shifts (30-40 secs.) Play for the moment. Remember, the pressure is on the home team.

Just hoping for a close instant all-time classic, and not a blowout for the Canadians....

Well seems like we can play with them again. Puck control needs to be better. Seems like we are holding it for too long then not long enough at other times. We are hitting but I think sometimes they are putting to much into hitting. If the puck it available get it. We don't need two guys trying to kill someone. Let the first guy make the hit then take the puck. Our players are certainly willing to put their body in front of the puck on defense. I saw someone reach out and grab a slapshot from the point. That takes some balls. Period 2 starting lets go.

What a game. I know it is dissapointing but USA wasn't considered a medal contender. I like what it did for the sport, but it was a much better game than an NHL game. It was like watching college football with pro players. Would have liked to have seen a 5 on 5 overtime.

Best game of the Vancouver Olympics. This game will do wonders for the game of hockey. Congrats Canada and the USA should hold their heads high. They were playing with house money from the onset.

USA did very well. Canada played their best game of the tournament yesterday but overall USA played a better tournament.
I would have liked to see USA win just to shut Canada up. They were not **that** good. But I did like the tempo of play and wished more games in the NHL were played at that tempo.

I don't think it does much for the sport. Most people don't pay attn to hockey even in the Olympics. Ask the guy on the street who won the previous Olympics??? This too will be forgotten in no time....its meaningless.

I would like the games be an amateur event. I think they would mean a lot more to the public and players. We all know Crosby is a great player, I want to see college kids in the events. I think if you make the choice to go pro, you should not get the opportunity to even compete in the Olympics. The sport is suppose to be about the best **amateur** players not a glorified all-star game. The games don't excite me anymore, I could care less who wins. I root for the USA but I really don't care.

I bet the Olympics reverts back to armature play soon, this is not that appealing to watch pros play. Also I think it is weird that the NHL shuts down for two weeks during the olympics. If i was paying some player to play for my team and he gets pulled to play for the olympics , I would want a) payment for using my player and b) insurance against injury

I hate watching hockey but watched 2 complete games: Can vs Rus and Can vs USA. That type of hockey I liked watching.
