I haven't looked at the Grizzly catalog but that is probably their cheapest lathe.

I'd offer him $75 and go from there.

That Lathe is discontinued! Probably sold for no more than $200. It is a welded steel bed and the stand looks pretty flimsy....I'm gonna guess it has vibration issues..........like Bruce say's $75.00, throw out the stand and bold down to a heavy workbench!!

stay away from those, they bend just cranking up on a blank of wood
the motor will burn out too
junk unless you baby it or only use it only twice a year for an hour
plenty of better lathes out there

LOL If you guys saw what I first typed then deleted.

It started like this......

Ross don't take this the wrong way but that lathe is a piece of crap.....LOL I deleted figuring maybe I was too harsh
