Does this mean the NFL has downgraded the Pats prospects? Isn't the teams playing that day normally out of contention and this gives them some needed air and sponsor time?

Dallas always plays turkey day as does Detroit. Pats last played turkey day about 7-8 years ago I think??

FINALLY.... a game on turkey day that won't be a complete turkey.
I agree that it is typically a game between basement teams that have no other chance to play a "big game" on TV.
