The General Lafayette Inn, They had an IPA that was out of this world. I'm mostly a Hop Head in the Summer...any IPA will do. Although tonight it was UFO Hefewiezen. Winter I drink an occasional Guiness but seem to drink more Scotch or, lately I've been into Vodka. If you want to try something that is awesome Make a Black and Tan w/ Guiness and Old Post Road Pumpkin Ale.......(drool) Harpoon Winter Warmer on Thankgiving is starting to become tradition also. Damn.......I could go on All Night :D afterhours 08-15-2004, 06:36 AM corona......no lime!!!:) theSURF121 08-15-2004, 09:08 AM Anything that's free!:) Pilsner Urquell. Rappin Mikey 08-15-2004, 10:40 AM Xingu Black beer of Brazil! chris L 08-15-2004, 11:16 AM pilsner urquell from czechoslovakia various christmas beers in Germany ( dopple bock ) Mike P 08-15-2004, 11:39 AM Originally posted by chris L pilsner urquell from czechoslovakia various christmas beers in Germany ( dopple bock ) I like PU also. Last time I mentioned it, John mentioned another Czech beer that was better (Czechwa or something like that). I had a bottle last year in California---great beer, but I can't find it here :( Most of the supermarkets near me carry PU, tho  chris L 08-15-2004, 11:48 AM :D never had czechwa , If I see it Ill try it . only for comparison purposes of course . Probably my second favorite beer (no, not Weidemans). http://www.budvar.cz/budvar/rozcestnik/index.html# Favorite beer for me is a freshly tapped keg of Harpoon Winter Warmer. IMO, the finest beer in the world :humpty: RickBomba 08-15-2004, 05:04 PM Sierra Celebration or Dogfish head 90 minute IPA when it wa in the big bottles (750's). Their 120 minute is awesome, but expensive at 10 bucks for a 12 ouncer. Stone IPA and Seadog Ras when it's hot are also good. Later, Rick PS- I'm the one who likes xingu, not Mikey...he must just think that it's a beer that nobody would choose. Me and the old man used to drink it in the late eighties when the only option besides the Domestic swills was Sam Adams. Later, Rick mikecc 08-15-2004, 06:00 PM Like my Coors just fine. tlapinski 08-15-2004, 06:04 PM guinness or sam adams octoberfest. :gu: fishaholic18 08-15-2004, 06:05 PM Bud Lite! I read this post and then left the house for a cookout.......Low and behold a cooler full of Pilsner Urquell. After quite a few "Sample" Tastings :D I will agree that it was a very tasty brew. kevin d 08-16-2004, 07:33 AM Sam Adams or Guinness. If I am looking for something light, I go with Sam Adams Lite. Here's mine: Everyday beer: Amstel Light Desert beer: Chimay Cinque Cents After dinner, relaxing beers: Harpoon IPA, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, or Guiness Stout (widget can) Bad beers: any american light beer (get that crap out of my cooler!) :D Fungus 08-20-2004, 05:19 PM I am also fond of pilsner urquell for a lighter style beer. When I go out to eat gotta have Bass or Guiness :) bud8fan 08-24-2004, 07:01 PM I have always been the type of beer drinker that wasnt very fond of any heavy beers! So I opt for BudLight(some of you call it pi$$water). I will drink my Dad's Miller Lite if I am out and am starting to believe the commercial that has been on quite alot lately. Lite does have more taste than BudLight but due to obvious reasons that I am sure you all can figure out I wont switch!!:D :D Jim O 08-25-2004, 09:58 AM My favorite is FREE after that gritty McDuffs porter Red Hook porter and the old stand by Guiness.
