Best beer I ever tasted was at this Brewpub near philly. The General Lafayette Inn, They had an IPA that was out of this world.
I'm mostly a Hop Head in the Summer...any IPA will do. Although tonight it was UFO Hefewiezen. Winter I drink an occasional Guiness but seem to drink more Scotch or, lately I've been into Vodka.
If you want to try something that is awesome Make a Black and Tan w/ Guiness and Old Post Road Pumpkin Ale.......(drool)
Harpoon Winter Warmer on Thankgiving is starting to become tradition also.
Damn.......I could go on All Night

I like PU also. Last time I mentioned it, John mentioned another Czech beer that was better (Czechwa or something like that). I had a bottle last year in California---great beer, but I can't find it here
Most of the supermarkets near me carry PU, tho

In Europe it's Budweiser Budvar (not that Bud ) but in the few places around here it can be found as Checkvar - makes Pilsner Urqell taste like Wiedemans... Probably my second favorite beer (no, not Weidemans). http://www.budvar.cz/budvar/rozcestnik/index.html#
Favorite beer for me is a freshly tapped keg of Harpoon Winter Warmer. IMO, the finest beer in the world

Sierra Celebration or Dogfish head 90 minute IPA when it wa in the big bottles (750's). Their 120 minute is awesome, but expensive at 10 bucks for a 12 ouncer.
Stone IPA and Seadog Ras when it's hot are also good.
Later,
Rick
PS- I'm the one who likes xingu, not Mikey...he must just think that it's a beer that nobody would choose. Me and the old man used to drink it in the late eighties when the only option besides the Domestic swills was Sam Adams.
Later,
Rick

I thought that I would pretty much like all beer, but I just had a glass of Steel Reserve 211 malt liquor. I must say this is the worst tasteing brew I have ever tasted (but I finished the glass anyways).

You must be psychic. I read this post and then left the house for a cookout.......Low and behold a cooler full of Pilsner Urquell.
After quite a few "Sample" Tastings I will agree that it was a very tasty brew.

I think Seirra Nevada Pale Ale is the best beer, but Harpoon IPA is so good and almost as good as Sierra, so I drink the Harpoon and save the $$.
If I am looking for something light, I go with Sam Adams Lite.
Overall, I am a big fan of Cascade hops.
