:af: :af: :af: :af: :af: Lightning has chased me outta the suds early the last 3 nights, when there has been big girls playing in the water!!!!:smash: There werent any lightning bolts or strikes to the ground, but the sky would brighten momentarily. If there are no ground stikes or bolts is it safe to stay?? Also i could see patches of stars, and came home and didnt see anything on the radar in my area. Just a lil extra cautious after those 2 in matunick got hit. What do you guys do?

Could simply be heat lightning off in the distance....I saw it down the backside the other night. It won't bother you if you don't bother it.....:tm:...or is that for bees? ;)

uuhh, i think that's bees, gotta be extra careful when walking around with 10' lightning rods on beaches or rocks.

Anyone know if heat lightning is the same as....you know...the regular lightning that comes with thunder storms? Does it reach the ground is what I want to know?

I thought it was heat lightning. SO heat llghtning is safe?? Only pack up when you see bolts or hear thunder? If thats the case that sucks, i was into nice fish last night and left for nothing.

I looked it up, said heat lightning is just strikes that are to far away(over 10 miles) to hear the thunder. SO im gonna stay out till i see a strike or hear thunder, coulda got a bunch more fatty cows if i didnt come in at 2:30, was gonna stay till 5.
