I had the privilege of fishing the Maine ledges a few weeks ago with the infamous BillB. I probably would have caught a lot more fish if I hadn't spent half the time falling. My question is, can corkers be worn safely on bootfoot waders? I'd like to fish the rocks on the Marginal Way in Ogunquit and come home without welts, bruises and sprains.

Not to take away from Marty's topic because I am curious too but do they come any smaller than "Small"? Mindi has tiny feet, like size three-five.

Also, in addition to Marty's comments, will they fit on a felt soled bottom?

Boys, I use Korkers on bootfoot lugsole and bootfoot feltsole waders. Get em'. I dunno how small they come.

Absolutely! Just be sure to lace or strap them down tight!

More securely, you can drive in a screw at the heel. Of course then you pretty much have them on year round but that can be a good thign too - you never have to worry about forgetting them at home or saying 'Darn, I wish I had my Korkers!" :)

Don't even think of going out on any kind of rock without them!!!

Marty - you get wader boots and put the Korkers on them. But like what was said above - they gotta be tight. Tight enough that it would be uncomfortable without some kind of boot...

wow!! I just bought a new set today! Came home and saw this post! Talk about timing! My last set were spent.

Depending on where you fish, I find you don't need them, BUT when you do need them they make an amazing difference, esp on that black stuff that grows on the rocks...that can be like black ice and no one can stand on it. The korkers bite right thru it and grab into the stone. I am surprised they have not gotten a contract with a wader company to build them right into the sole of the boot...Just don't walk indoors with them!!! They can really rip up a nice hardwood floor.

BTW, I echo the tightness matter, if they become loose...it is better not to have them at all.
