sokinwet 11-30-2004, 03:31 PM Dave - I'm going to follow you from your driveway in Rockland all the way to your "hot spots" If you try to hide I'll never let your kid come over my house for all the "Texas Holdem" games that my kid hosts whenever I'm not around! ;)
relentless 11-30-2004, 05:09 PM Well Solin,
I have no idea who you are and of course can follow me any day. I did let him play hooky today after a long football season (7-4). with no practice we had to take him. Here he is with Captain Dave who could not get a charter today either private or shared.
Dave
relentless 11-30-2004, 05:15 PM We had a great group aboard today with a day on on the water as friends. Coming aboard RELENTLESS to catch these steakers was my son Shaun, Rob Kelleher, Pete Santini, Stew Roache and Stan Glaskin. Lots of experience abaoard with lots of large fish coming over the rail. All I had to do was put them on fish and watch.

RELENTLESS
relentless 11-30-2004, 05:18 PM Pete sure did put a lot of fish on board today with his pelican teasers. I thought he was full of it until I saw them in action. I will never leave the dock without them to help me catch fish like these. Here is Pete and Shaun with two slammers.

King Cod 11-30-2004, 08:00 PM Ouch Boys, ouch:). It was the pelican green teaser, right santini:)?
Dave, good to see you had a great day, wish I could've been there.
-Willy
King Cod 11-30-2004, 08:14 PM By the way Mr. Santini, did you catch any of those 50's?
pete santini 11-30-2004, 08:57 PM it was the pelican green that takes the credit too bad you missed it
Notaro 11-30-2004, 09:11 PM Damn, I need those fillets for fish chowder for my xmas party.
tynan19 11-30-2004, 11:05 PM I need to move closer to the ocean and become buddy buddy with you guys.
MakoMike 12-01-2004, 07:44 AM Hey dave,
Good to see that you found us over here! Nice catch.
beamie 12-01-2004, 08:28 AM Wow, Stanley and Stewy....and Santini on the same trip. No need to teach fishing on that trip. I guess the Nuts and Bolts, and Polar Bear are out of the water?
Jon
quick decision 12-01-2004, 08:29 AM Lookinig at those fish makes me scratch my head and I wonder why I took my boat out already.
beamie 12-01-2004, 08:33 AM Hey,
With all this awesome relatively inshore codfishing going on. This really puts a damper on the theory that the new outflow pipe is destroying the local fishing??.... Interesting.
By now there are about 200 Gillnets strung from the B Bouy to the dumping ground netting all those nice 20 to 50 pound cod. Every recreational trip from here on will undoubtably see fewer and smaller fish.:( :(
pete santini 12-01-2004, 08:38 AM hey beamie it was good while it lasted your right .By now that patch of bottom looks like the u.n. with flags of every color all over the place But man what fish there. This is without a doubt the best codfishing anywhere on planet earth santini
Casper 12-01-2004, 02:54 PM Hi Dave,
Real nice looking Cod, wish I was with you that day. Hoping for some warm weather during xmas week, just like last year.
Congrat's.
relentless 12-01-2004, 06:01 PM I just had a cancellation and will be going out again on Friday and Saturday (open boat charters) if anyone is nterested in catching some of these beauties. Send me an e-mail or call me if interested in details. I had some last night for dinner and gave away plenty of fillets to co-workers.
Thanks,
Dave

Only problem Joe is that in order to catch them you have to have two hands on the rod and reel and if your leaning over the side of the boat loosing your lunch that is impossible!!:smash: :smash: :laughs: :laughs:

JohnR 12-02-2004, 01:24 PM Dave is a good egg! Don't know him too well but have sat and talked at a few club meetings and seen him in action at the odd fisheries meeting...
Hi Dave :wavey:
Casper 12-02-2004, 01:41 PM I agree, David is a good guy. Ok course he knows nothing about catching fish, it's his Son who is the pro. The one time I was out with Dave, I just pretended to know nothing about Cod fishing, and Dave felt sorry for me, and started fishing in my place. I just let him hault up all those Cod from down deep. Boy, I hate halting up cod. (ha-ha)
pete santini 12-02-2004, 08:11 PM thanks stan for turning that heap of cod into the most perfect filets i ever saw. This guy makes the filets fly off the racks i,m down to my last 40 lbs of filet. " fresh fish tunafish codfish swordfish and mackeral Thats how the jingle goes
Notaro 12-03-2004, 08:59 AM I am in next sunday. who else is coming? i am plannign to do a striper cake recipe, but use cod instead.
macojoe 12-03-2004, 03:51 PM Great fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fished out there once this year and didn't do so hot. But it was my first time there!!
