Dave - I'm going to follow you from your driveway in Rockland all the way to your "hot spots" If you try to hide I'll never let your kid come over my house for all the "Texas Holdem" games that my kid hosts whenever I'm not around!

Photos Of Todays Cod

Well Solin,

I have no idea who you are and of course can follow me any day. I did let him play hooky today after a long football season (7-4). with no practice we had to take him. Here he is with Captain Dave who could not get a charter today either private or shared.

The Gang

We had a great group aboard today with a day on on the water as friends. Coming aboard RELENTLESS to catch these steakers was my son Shaun, Rob Kelleher, Pete Santini, Stew Roache and Stan Glaskin. Lots of experience abaoard with lots of large fish coming over the rail. All I had to do was put them on fish and watch.

The Great Santini

Pete sure did put a lot of fish on board today with his pelican teasers. I thought he was full of it until I saw them in action. I will never leave the dock without them to help me catch fish like these. Here is Pete and Shaun with two slammers.

Lots of Talent

Wow, Stanley and Stewy....and Santini on the same trip. No need to teach fishing on that trip. I guess the Nuts and Bolts, and Polar Bear are out of the water?

Outflow Pipe

Hey,

With all this awesome relatively inshore codfishing going on. This really puts a damper on the theory that the new outflow pipe is destroying the local fishing??.... Interesting.

By now there are about 200 Gillnets strung from the B Bouy to the dumping ground netting all those nice 20 to 50 pound cod. Every recreational trip from here on will undoubtably see fewer and smaller fish.

Shared Charters

I just had a cancellation and will be going out again on Friday and Saturday (open boat charters) if anyone is nterested in catching some of these beauties. Send me an e-mail or call me if interested in details. I had some last night for dinner and gave away plenty of fillets to co-workers.

Thanks,

Dave

Only problem Joe is that in order to catch them you have to have two hands on the rod and reel and if your leaning over the side of the boat loosing your lunch that is impossible!!

Dave is a good egg! Don't know him too well but have sat and talked at a few club meetings and seen him in action at the odd fisheries meeting...

Relentless

I agree, David is a good guy. Ok course he knows nothing about catching fish, it's his Son who is the pro. The one time I was out with Dave, I just pretended to know nothing about Cod fishing, and Dave felt sorry for me, and started fishing in my place. I just let him hault up all those Cod from down deep. Boy, I hate halting up cod. (ha-ha)
