Can anyone tell me if my 20 year old son has to file for income taxes?
He only made $3300. this year because he's a full time student.
I'm just not sure if there is a minimum amount you have to make to file.
Thanks, Dave
I belive so.......1040EZ Form and He should get a good chunk back ta boot!

My wife does accounting and I had her read this post,
If he had fed or state taxes withheld, tell him to file 1040ez form.
He will get all fed and state withholdings back.

Thanks Ron. Does he also have to fill out a state form?

No need for all that. Just file the 1040EZ. At $3,300 he has no tax liability and should get a refund for all they withheld.

OK, that's what I wanted to know. Thanks.
I'll just do the EZ form.
