Raven 10-22-2005, 09:26 AM depends on your operating system (sorta).....but see attached image fishaholic18 10-22-2005, 09:40 AM Using XP home. I tried the Internet options, secrity, restrict site, typed in site address, but it still comes up. Raven 10-22-2005, 09:45 AM theres another option too... i'm not familiar with Xp sorry... but in general all pc's are set up to accomodate multiple users each with there own individual settings and their own log on identity.... then you as administrator can set the permissions...best bet is to open the help section type in "parental controls" anything highlighted in blue is a link-up Raven 10-22-2005, 09:53 AM to give you an idea.... http://www.tucows.com/downloads/Windows/Security/Internet/ParentalControl/ you might wanna boogy on down to best buy and buy a third party software designed to make it fairly effortless.... Thanks, I'll check that out. spence 11-16-2005, 01:40 PM If you're looking for a pretty solid child protection application, I've found the Cyber Patrol software to work pretty well...but it's pricey. -spence fishaholic18 11-16-2005, 01:51 PM I just want to keep the kids off that Myspace site, heard a lot of bad stuff about it. I'll try the Norton security first. Thanks. Swimmer 11-18-2005, 12:28 PM Fishaholic18...your right on the money there. I am associated with someone who notified a local school district of what was taking place on the site and even they were amazed. There were actually a couple of young female teachers that listed thier likes and dislikes on the MYSPACE.com. What some of the kids put there was outrageous. Pictures, phone numbers, and listed addresses with statements like I have to have it five times a day. Mom and dad must have been proud of that. Raven 11-18-2005, 04:27 PM when using the web browser firefox...ok theres a extension you can download that displays the IP addy for any site you surf to... making it quite easy to make a note of a site's ip addy and add it to -> the no fly zone. :btu: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
