"Its a tough world to get a break in ,all the good things have been taken" Eric Burden and the Animals Tagger, Collecting anything these days is tougher due to ebay. Bargins that would have ended up at some garage sale end up on that site and the bidding wars start. Skitterpop 04-17-2006, 08:21 AM I do love lures :lm: Little $ and a wacky bunch of wood and plastic does not a collector make :rollem: piemma 04-17-2006, 11:36 AM I don't know about that. I just got Crack 100 reel in mint condition for $46.00. You can't buy a Zebco for $46.00 and this is a 35 year old Crack in mint condition tattoobob 04-17-2006, 08:32 PM I was watching that reel the ting is I have to many reels right now and I should be selling not buying. that reel seemed to be in great shape. piemma 04-18-2006, 08:41 AM I also have too many reels but couldn't pass this up. I used it this past weekend and it is mint. JFigliuolo 04-18-2006, 10:14 AM I also have too many reels but couldn't pass this up. I used it this past weekend and it is mint. Nice score. The surfcatser used to sell "kits" to mod the cracks. I don't think they still do though. piemma 04-18-2006, 02:36 PM JF: I also have a Crack 300 that is mint but converted to manual pickup. I used it 2 years ago in an absolutely awesome blitz in Narragansett. I caught over 30 Bass between 25 and 35 lbs and it never skipped a beat. The Cracks are great reels. Too bad they are not made any longer. The VS were actually modeled after them. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
