Tagger,

Collecting anything these days is tougher due to ebay. Bargins that would have ended up at some garage sale end up on that site and the bidding wars start.

I don't know about that. I just got Crack 100 reel in mint condition for $46.00. You can't buy a Zebco for $46.00 and this is a 35 year old Crack in mint condition

No boat, back in the suds.

I was watching that reel the ting is I have to many reels right now and I should be selling not buying. that reel seemed to be in great shape.

I also have too many reels but couldn't pass this up. I used it this past weekend and it is mint.

Nice score. The surfcatser used to sell "kits" to mod the cracks. I don't think they still do though.

I also have a Crack 300 that is mint but converted to manual pickup. I used it 2 years ago in an absolutely awesome blitz in Narragansett. I caught over 30 Bass between 25 and 35 lbs and it never skipped a beat.
The Cracks are great reels. Too bad they are not made any longer. The VS were actually modeled after them.

No boat, back in the suds.
