A discogram is an enhanced X-ray examination of the intervertebral discs. Dye is injected into the center of the injured disc(s). The dye makes the disc clearly visible on X-ray film and on a fluoroscope (special X-ray TV screen). snake slinger 02-07-2007, 11:44 AM good luck dave striprman 02-07-2007, 12:01 PM Good luck The Dad Fisherman 02-07-2007, 12:04 PM Good Luck...you'll be fine hunan 02-07-2007, 12:07 PM good luck dave. i thought you and canalman were going to perform a jackass type stunt with some new vmc's.:crying: fishaholic18 02-07-2007, 12:15 PM good luck dave. i thought you and canalman were going to perform a jackass type stunt with some new vmc's.:crying: LOL We've done that, have to do it again and video it, after he heals.:gorez: Slipknot 02-07-2007, 12:20 PM Good luck Dave I know it's hard to not be nervous but do your best to relax and have confidence in the doctors and you'll do fine. It's an experimental procedure that the Doc is reccomending I try before surgery. http://www.webmd.com/hw/back_pain/tn9268.asp?printing=true Dave, i hadn't heard of it before but took a good hard look at the procedure and how "less Invasive it is" compared to a major surgery and it doesn't look that bad and relatively safe. I would want to talk to people that have already had this done and see what they say..... if i were you. If they say they are free of pain...go for it. fishaholic18 02-08-2007, 06:05 PM Now to see if the %$#@ insurance co. will approve it..Right..:nailem: Heres more info on it: http://www.orthoassociates.com/IDET.htm striprman 02-08-2007, 06:20 PM http://www.spinalcord.org/ Raven 02-08-2007, 06:30 PM seems like: for such a less intrusive procedure... i wonder how that compares with the other surgery. the biggun. was looking at those cage deals they put in there :hs: wow dude... i feel bad for ya...:( iv'e been using the thermal-care heat wraps for a few weeks just pulled muscles... it doesn''t compare.... of course. Van 02-09-2007, 10:21 PM I feel your pain LITERALLY !!! Went through herniated disc several years ago. i ended up getting cut open to "trim" the disc. All went well though, recovery time was only a couple of weeks. Now I only have slight pain now and then and usually only when I have to sit too long. But worth it, the pain was so bad, a bullet was nearly an option. I wish you luck, they can do amazing things, you should be better. NO you will be better.... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
