Got Stripers

to read custom striped bass/tuna baits :). Just received this email from a guy that ordered a 100 custom 9 inch big jerks for the south side of the cape/islands. I met him and gave him a sample bag of the new 13 inch Mega Jerk and it sounds like he put that 5 count to good use.
Bob,
I have not scanned the photograph yet but I wanted to shoot you an email to share with you the versatility of your 13 inch baits.
I was 20 miles south of Martha's Vineyard last week shark fishing when I came across a school of Bluefin Tuna chasing bait on the surface. I had a Shimano 6500 rigged with 30lb mono tied directly to one of your 13 inch big jerks in Olive and White. I had rigged the rod the night before, just for this occasion.
As we approached the school they stayed right on the surface feeding on half beaks., 50lb to 100lb tuna were jumping everywhere. In the excitement I made two casts into the fray and retrieved the bait on the surface as fast as I could. I took a moment to rethink my strategy and fired the bait back into the mix and let it sink for a moment before starting the average return I use for stripers, alternating between jerking and letting the bait stay suspended for a few seconds. On my third "jerk" the line started pouring off the reel with a solid hookup. 20 minutes later I had a 70-80lb school bluefin at the side of the boat. The hooks and screw eyes worked perfectly. As soon as I can figure out the scanner I will send you a picture.
I am glad I ordered 100 baits. My friends on board raided my tacklebox after that show.
I hope your summer is going well.
Thanks Again
Chris
