I am building a rod for convenchional casting (13'er) and was curious howq close to the reel seat would the first eye be placed and what size eye is reccomended? I have been waiting ten years to get around to this rod so I want it right. Thanks in advance.

I am not at home right now I'll post what lami GSB blank it is later. Should hae thought of this earlier. At work right now. I am pretty sure it is the heaviest GSB 11 1/2'er made. It has a butt extention to make it 13' total. I'll get back to you.
