Thanks Again,, Steve NIGHT STRIKES 10-16-2007, 10:21 PM Onc more with a close-up of the belly weight... capesams 10-17-2007, 05:36 AM I'll be jiggard...u might have something there  pal156 10-17-2007, 01:35 PM looks like it might be one of george calzones NIGHT STRIKES 10-17-2007, 03:22 PM looks like it might be one of george calzones Thanks, trying to find out as much as possible about this plug.. It is a dead ringer to a Atom Striper Swiper but wood & lead weighted tangler 10-18-2007, 07:14 AM I had one of those in my collection .. that is until my clueless cousin and family picked a few ( like 8 ) of my "hangers" off the wall and gave them to the blues while they were using my cottage this summer :exp:.. anyway I had the identical plug . I bought it at a yard sale in South County RI . I asked the fella that sold it to me if he knew who made it ...told me it was a "Super Lure" .. I was never sure if he meant it worked well or if that was the model name of the lure , or the co. that made it :wall::wall::wall: I thought it was very Gibbs like with the screw eyes . tangler 10-18-2007, 08:08 AM Just to add to the above post .... I also remember seeing a very similar plug on an old Pt. Jude Store display card ... there was a blue one and a pink one , but I can not confirm that they had the belly weight... NIGHT STRIKES 10-18-2007, 08:42 AM tangler, thanks for the info... It is a very well made plug.. I am dying to try it out but something is telling me not to throw it.... vineyardblues 10-18-2007, 10:47 AM Just a guess but I would cross off "super lure" I have never seen one that looks like that. But you never know. VB Flaptail 10-18-2007, 11:42 AM Thats home made. Almost looks like it had been refinished as well. Lots of people made thier own plugs over the years. It's not a recent phenomenon. NIGHT STRIKES 10-18-2007, 12:43 PM Thanks Again Guys.. Getting some great opinions from the best in the business here ... Appreciate It.... It very well might see some action, right now I am having a couple of original DannyP Conrad Jr's refinished to go into the rotation.. It seems so many present day fishermen have no clue what some of these vintage lures can do. First time I tossed these little Conrads off a Jetty - I sure did............. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
