Last Friday, I managed to bum an invitation on my buddy's boat. We were looking for strioers on the back side of Fishers Island, when the tuna began to show up. I hooked 3 albacore that were between 11 and 13 pounds (lots of fun on 8 pound test). Are fish that size unusual? I caught about a dozen or so last year, and the biggest was maybe 7 pounds.
