Sea Dangles 09-26-2008, 01:37 PM In order to cover gas you will need to learn how to catch and use BAIT. To answer the question ;MASSACHUSETTS is most poacher friendly. numbskull 09-26-2008, 02:25 PM [QUOTE=Sea Dangles;623602]In order to cover gas you will need to learn how to catch and use BAIT. Too funny,ha-ha. numbskull 09-26-2008, 04:26 PM Certainly you don't expect to make money plugging. Too funny,ha-ha. Of course not, I'm not that stupid. Plugs are for fun. When money or fame are paramount, bait's the only game .......though I once fished alongside guys who made decent money handlining bass on jigs out of the rips behind Nantucket. Of course they had more skills (and more fish to catch) than today's one trick wonders. DZ 09-26-2008, 04:36 PM George, You'd be welcomed with open arms here in RI. In what state could a state employee get busted for keeping too many fish - and then keep their state commercial R&R license! Only in Rhode Island my friend. Way more poaching going on here than meets the eye - one need look no futher than the restaurant business. Of course you will have to join the RI Poacher's Association. DZ Sea Dangles 09-26-2008, 05:51 PM Of course not, I'm not that stupid. Don't sell yourself short. You certainly talk the talk. You are funny.Good Luck plugging tonight. numbskull 09-26-2008, 05:52 PM Way more poaching going on here than meets the eye - one need look no futher than the restaurant business. DZ Say it isn't so! You mean those guys who kill two large bass every trip day after day don't just have really large families? ProfessorM 09-26-2008, 06:22 PM Sorry to say George but i am off to drown some eels tonite. I fished a skin plug the last 2 nites in the canal and got only 1 short bass while I watched several anglers do well on eels. So tonite, in AA lingo, slip and drown a few. I hope that doesn't get me kicked off the good ship numbskull next week maybe. tattoobob 09-26-2008, 06:26 PM I've (and a few others I know) have seen plenty of sand buggies back up to Chinese restaurants back doors it happens every state reguardless macojoe 09-26-2008, 06:35 PM Hate to say it, but wait till everyone has to pay for a salt lic!! Brother Brian 09-26-2008, 08:13 PM The worst state isn't listed; Maryland. numbskull 09-26-2008, 08:49 PM Sorry to say George but i am off to drown some eels tonite. I hope that doesn't get me kicked off the good ship numbskull next week maybe. Fear not, Paul. I even swam a few pogies briefly yesterday.....though I did much better with danny plugs (fish < 18lbs). True, my heart wasn't in it, but they were thick around the dinghy dock and I was curious if I could still throw a cast net (barely it turns out), so nostalgia got the better of me. Fortunately, God did not strike me dead. Tomorrow I'll flyrod for Albies to make amends and support the Arabs. One of these nights I might even fish eels again.....if I ever get around to setting some traps........though catching eels is much harder than catching bass these days.......sad to say. stiff tip 09-27-2008, 03:42 AM i kinda like ma ...from what i c .....but wheres the party and the danceing girls???? JohnR 09-27-2008, 06:58 AM Put the water borders of CT, RI, and NY together and wee what you get - WHOA, you can poach in many states! Arrrrghhhh! Scurvey Dog, Piracy is alive and well :wall: Joe 09-27-2008, 07:37 AM Just keep your mouth shut and you'll be fine. Take note that the only people they catch are the ones that get ratted on.
