Best state for poaching?
I may need a retirement job. In which state are poachers most welcome?

In order to cover gas you will need to learn how to catch and use BAIT. To answer the question ;MASSACHUSETTS is most poacher friendly.

Of course not, I'm not that stupid. Plugs are for fun. When money or fame are paramount, bait's the only game .......though I once fished alongside guys who made decent money handlining bass on jigs out of the rips behind Nantucket. Of course they had more skills (and more fish to catch) than today's one trick wonders.

George,
You'd be welcomed with open arms here in RI. In what state could a state employee get busted for keeping too many fish - and then keep their state commercial R&R license! Only in Rhode Island my friend. Way more poaching going on here than meets the eye - one need look no futher than the restaurant business. Of course you will have to join the RI Poacher's Association.

Say it isn't so! You mean those guys who kill two large bass every trip day after day don't just have really large families?

Sorry to say George but i am off to drown some eels tonite. I fished a skin plug the last 2 nites in the canal and got only 1 short bass while I watched several anglers do well on eels. So tonite, in AA lingo, slip and drown a few. I hope that doesn't get me kicked off the good ship numbskull next week maybe.

Fear not, Paul. I even swam a few pogies briefly yesterday.....though I did much better with danny plugs (fish < 18lbs). True, my heart wasn't in it, but they were thick around the dinghy dock and I was curious if I could still throw a cast net (barely it turns out), so nostalgia got the better of me. Fortunately, God did not strike me dead. Tomorrow I'll flyrod for Albies to make amends and support the Arabs. One of these nights I might even fish eels again.....if I ever get around to setting some traps........though catching eels is much harder than catching bass these days.......sad to say.

Just keep your mouth shut and you'll be fine. Take note that the only people they catch are the ones that get ratted on.

I would not even dare to ask that question. I HATE poachers

Catch and release + respecting Mother Nature will help keep Stripers in good numbers for our future generation to enjoy fishing as we do today.
