#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& is getting tremblings of big fish again, all might not be lost for us northern types!!! Nothing to make up for this seasons lack of a run >( and it won't put us on par with the guys down south but it looks like there may still be some fishing for cows still to do!!!! 8)

John I agree,
I still think we have some good fishing to be had up here in CT & RI for a few more weeks. It's just been bad lately becuase of this north wind, but when it lays down or switches after tonight I think we'll have some good fishing. I've seen breaking fish all week long 500 yards offshore due to the wind pushing them.
I think it would be wise to fish hard this weekend, I will be.
Still optimistic, Marc Z.

Don't be telling me this.....work has me so messed up that I couldn't get out if I tried. Just tell me that there's nothing to be had on the Cape and I'll just crawl into my hibernation chamber and call it a winter :'( :'(

I'm re-reading Perfect Storm for about the fifth time and there is a line that describes the mental insanity of fisherman perfectly.... The setting is the late 17th century and the Gloucestermen do not stop fishing on Sundays like the rest of the Colony... "Some Gloucester fishermen, apparently, didn't even respect the Sabbath: 'Cape Cod captains went wild-eyed in an agony of inner conflict' recorded a Cape Cod historian named Josef Berger, 'as they read the Scriptures to their crews while some godless Gloucester craft lay in his path...hauling up a full share of mackerel or cod"...
I know the feeling when at 8 in the morning, #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& calls me and tells me of his wondereous adverntures plying the surf at night for large bass while I'm stuck at my darn computer with phones ringing and people need something right away :P . I know that I shouldn't burn a sick day and fish the night before :D and each time, I almost do....
Its that inner turmoil Bob. I know what you mean. There a, is, umm, no more, er fish, down at, uh, the Cape. Yeh, that's it! Or they are all small fish and you don't want them, right?
