Chris - I missed your post. As the people here are pretty spread out, perhaps the best way to help is to pitch in and assist other organizations that are doing clean ups. This is what we've done and supported for a few years.
But we should dangle a little carrot.
For all of those doing beach cleanups on next weekend, state on this thread where you are going and for what club. On the following week, confirm you did a cleanup (minimum of two hours) we will draw 3 winners for some plugs. Any club, any locations.

JohnR 05-15-2009, 06:42 AM All cleaning projects are in?
Last chance to tell me what you did for cleanups this spring for a chance at some pluggage :hee:
Plum Crazy 05-19-2009, 09:27 PM I am all done.
I did 10 projects PLUS a non sanctioned at Plum Island.
11 total for the year.
We have one more at Horseneck in the fall and the MBBA is working on a special project at the Race for fall.
I am done ---officially.
I want to let every single fisherman know that my work is never ever done.
I carry a bag with me and always take out more than I came in with. It has become way more than a habit. I now seek out trash.
It is more important now that we are fishing.
The last thing we ever want to battle is that fishermen leave trash behind. Please don't be one of those guys.
(I know this doesn't pertain to MOST of you, but we do have some googans visiting the site)
Please don't let them even have a chance to hold anything against us.
BasicPatrick 05-19-2009, 09:37 PM Plum Crazy....Awesome post...If everyone kept the beach clean we would all be in better shape...
I did 6 MBBA Projects, a local and a Herring Run this Spring.
