This show is regarded as one of the best ever by many dead fans. Most times I pass on the popular opinion shows, but this one deserves the hype. Another one worthy of adding to the rotation. Pure magic:

I liked that...very Steely Dan-ish.

He has done some work for them on occasion and worked with Pink Floyd on The Wall album. There isn't many he hasn't played with being a studio player for 40 years. His solo stuff is fantastic usually with the hiring of the best studio guys he has played with. No slouches for him.

If you find Dean Parks interesting here is a band, Koinonia, early 80 he had a big part of. Some real good session players, which Dean was and Steely Dan used on all their albums, came out of this band. He left early in the bands history so it is hard to find a lot he did with them. He is still a sought after sessions player in LA according to his site.

Check out this guys resume, unbelievable

Bay this summer with him.paul; it's pretty quiet here in the mountains.snowshoeing daily in the surrounding woods and crossing Rangeley lake to the local coffee shop/post office to gab in the morning.hanging out in the shop building/repairing rods and tying flies for brookies, salmon and bonefish/tarpon/permit for the travelers heading south.looks like we're going to get 2' of snow tomorrow through Thursday.the turkeys are strutting around in the yard so it's definitely spring[ya right!].I have a new "tin-can" up here.A 16' lund tiller w/25 Honda.Like the old girl, just newer.was listening to an oldie today American Garage as I was making eyes for shrimp flies. The previous opinion was not meant to diminish the guy you like just curious if anyone else feels that way or I am off kilter with my remark. I don't usually put down artists as everyone likes what they like. I got a 14 year daughter who is an aspiring musician and I cringe at what she considers music. No one made it scream better than Mr. Moore. Very Santana-esque in this one. Good close-up fretboard work and one of the best guitar faces ever. Please support our troops! Have a great M Day!

Camarillo is just a few up the road from where I have been stationed all month. Need to drive over and pay homage to Bird this afternoon. Now known as Cal State Channel Islands, but a few of the original buildings are still there.

Trio Project in Philly April 2016 if you are up for a road trip.

Or 4 dates with Stanley in Switzerland in March 2016. Now that's a road trip!

Some Frank tonight. Occam's Razor

This is an example of Zappa's Xenochrony technique. If you are unfamiliar with this term here is an explanation
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenochrony

Either way it is a killer solo and actually from a live version of Inca Roads.

more like song of the decade, but who's counting

Now don't forget the guns you know exactly what I mean
Bring the pistols, bring the Uzi and the old AR-15
We don't look for trouble but by golly if we're in it
It's nice to know we're free to blow nine hundred rounds a minute
