Do you know what kind of firepit that is? I need one exactly like that!! X2 on the firepit. Looks like it was taken on my deck..... Great shots. I find getting whale shots is one of the tougher things to do with the camera. striperman36 09-25-2010, 04:00 PM X2 on the firepit. Looks like it was taken on my deck..... Great shots. I find getting whale shots is one of the tougher things to do with the camera. What model is that damn thing? it's taunting me MAKAI 09-25-2010, 04:43 PM I should be back there in a week or so. It's on mudbugs deck in truro. I have a call in. It seems every time I put down the camera there would be a full breach close by. I'll get one sooner or later Tuna wishing. striperman36 09-25-2010, 06:46 PM Fire Pit Cocktail Table w Old World Bronze Colored Finish (http://www.tables-bases-tops.com/IVG2/N/ProductID-52500.htm) Maybe this one MAKAI 09-25-2010, 09:22 PM It's more like this striperman36 09-25-2010, 09:27 PM Walmart.com: Better Homes and Gardens® 24'' Square Tile Fire Pit: Patio Decor (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-and-Gardens-reg-24-Square-Tile-Firepit/10247793) JohnnyD 09-26-2010, 03:01 PM We were on my girlfriend's parent's deck in those pictures. Her brother got the firepit for them at Job Lot over a year ago. I've seen similar pits at Lowes, Homies and Walmart. basswipe 09-26-2010, 03:20 PM We were on my girlfriend's parent's deck in those pictures. Her brother got the firepit for them at Job Lot over a year ago. I've seen similar pits at Lowes, Homies and Walmart. You're exactly right, that's the Joblot special.Great pit for the price but you couldn't pay me enough to have it on a wood deck. I looked at all the pits at Lowes,Depot and Wallyworld and all are complete junk considering the prices they want for them. If you truly want a durable pit I recommend these you won't regret it: http://www.jjmaterials.com/products/firepits.html Or a truck rim. striperman36 09-26-2010, 03:26 PM I saw them install something like that on This Old house. I really like a deck item, not something in the ground. Look's nice JohnnyD. eelskimmer 09-26-2010, 03:56 PM Makai, Great pix. I was struck by the shot of the fire pit and company surrounding it. My initial thought was "What a great man-cave". Any time you want to show me your man- cave I will gladly accept the invitation. Didn't know you were such a good photog. BassDawg 09-26-2010, 04:01 PM nice work, MAKAI! thanks for sharing those~~~ JohnnyD 09-26-2010, 04:02 PM You're exactly right, that's the Joblot special.Great pit for the price but you couldn't pay me enough to have it on a wood deck. The deck is made of that composite material, or whatever you call it. I think they put stone under the pit with a fire blanket over them to act as a heat shield. We've had some real hot fires on there with no problems so far. I hear you on the crap they have at the big stores - thin metal and absolute junk. Probably only a matter of time before the metal gives away on those junky ones. Fish_Eye 09-26-2010, 05:22 PM Nice shots and great weather -- hope you get a lot more of each. MarshCappa 09-27-2010, 09:12 AM Nice shots, thanks for sharing. SweetD 09-27-2010, 10:26 AM Here is another firepit option - got one last year and it throws awesome heat: Firepit (http://www.gratewalloffire.com/Outdoor-firepits_c_6.html) Due to the design, the logs fall in upon themselves and really get the coals going cherry red. Since they sit up higher and are "exposed" more than a traditional patio firepit, the heat it throws is incredible. We have it on the corner of our deck, and I have (12) 12"x12"x2" brick pavers under it - never had a problem and we use it a lot. A little more pricey than the WM, HD, Job Lot ones, but you get what you pay for - heavy duty, and "guaranteed for 10,000 fires"... capecodder 09-27-2010, 07:18 PM No place as beautiful as the Pamet at dawn... striperman36 09-27-2010, 07:27 PM Here is another firepit option - got one last year and it throws awesome heat: Firepit (http://www.gratewalloffire.com/Outdoor-firepits_c_6.html) Due to the design, the logs fall in upon themselves and really get the coals going cherry red.
