Looking to buy a rod for my VS250 and was wondering if the mojo would be good for this application?

I matched up a Mojo 106MM2 with a VS250 last year and they went well together. It worked well with medium and larger plugs, and I even used it in the Canal with jigs up to 4oz. to get some decent fish.

I dunno--to me, the 10-1/2' MH Mojo seems to top out at 5 oz or so. It's a little squirrely throwing the biggest Sebille fast-sinkers.

Some of those shads go over 7 oz and the rod is rated 2-6 oz. I get a little nervous throwing them on a 126 Arra. I use an All Star 1209 or an older yellow Lami 121 3M.

They have a new Mojo model out this year--11' and rated 3-8 oz. I tried one a week ago Saturday, and thought that it didn't cast as well as the 10-1/2' one.. But I was only throwing a 3 oz Gags pencil on it.

I could have written Mike's reply. Also bought a 1213 to throw them. thought the 126mh would do it but it's just a tad to light. Mojo-no way.

I personally also use a 1209 when the big shads come out. I have yet to really hammer fish on them, but maybe this year will be the year...I know others swear by them.
