I posted about this before and it went away for a while now its back again. The difference is that now I know its only on S-B. I can navigate any other site but on S-B it gets stuck. In fact on S-B I may be able to do a little back and forth but then once it gets stuck that's it. I can use the headers on the top to go to whatever choices are there )back to main forum) but not say back to most recent thread or page.
My guess is that it has something to do with ads loading?
Anyway , it can't be just me.

When its not working I notice I have a string of links backed up to
http:// Googleads.g.doubleclick.net/page
There is a list (accessed by clicking down arrow nwxt to back button) of about 10 of these exactly the same links and all it does is move down the list one (exact same link listed 10 or more times) with a moving check mark.

Delete your browsing history and some cookie is deleted and you get rid of your Googleads.g.doubleclick stuff. This apparently corrects the back button issues until you click on another googlead banner. My best guess is that it comes in if you click on any of the Adchoice ads on the top of the S-B page. Somehow that Adchoice thing is connected to Google. It plants a Google cookie of some kind. There is lots of biotching about this on the internet if you search for Googleads Doubleclick.

Another way to avoid this problem... If you are using IE... use 'In Private Browsing'... it works for me...
Select 'Tools'.... 'InPrivate Browsing'... then also select 'InPrivate Filtering'... it will open a new browser... you really should be using this anyway... not sure all the sites respect it, but it is a start... to keep them from tracking you... don't forget to set your 'InPrivate Filtering' selections...
If you are using another browser they have a similar feature...
Firefox... 'Tools'... 'Private Browsing'...
Or in other words... 'Porn mode'...
