Poor buggers could only talk to themselves Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device MakoMike 04-04-2015, 03:39 PM Been hearing them for at least a week down here. I felt sorry for them when everything was still covered in two feet of snow. Raven 04-04-2015, 04:17 PM Thought I heard some last nite here in swampy Lakeville Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device probably just a flash back :rotf2: jimmy z 04-04-2015, 04:31 PM I noticed them the other day too. They are definitely a sign it's time to start fishing. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device ProfessorM 04-11-2015, 08:42 PM Peeper city tonight. So nice Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device 5/0 04-12-2015, 08:20 AM Peeper city tonight. So nice Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device I'll record the peeps chipping on my phone and use it as my primary ringtone,to most people its white noise and they don't even hear my phone ring, but I do. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device striperman36 04-13-2015, 10:59 AM they started Saturday night in East Mansfield fishbones 04-13-2015, 01:03 PM Started hearing the wood frogs early last week. Then the peepers joined them on Friday night. Yesterday I started hearing the occasional bull frog in the neighbors pond. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device nightfighter 04-13-2015, 02:55 PM they started Saturday night in East Mansfield That's when I first noticed their call up here. Still have some snow in the yard...... but should be gone in another day. Raven 04-15-2015, 12:56 PM finally heard them passing a few cattail ponds last night oh.... such a feeling "good sound" ProfessorM 04-15-2015, 03:15 PM They were loud as I have ever heard last night at a vernal pool last nite. I almost did a recording. Sounded like 1000's of the little buggers in a pool 20' by 20'. I guess they are as happy as I about winter being over. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Raven 04-15-2015, 03:33 PM it's very cool when you can get between two groups when they call to one another a reverberation happens (ping/pong match) and it will vibrate you to your core.... you just have to have the patience to interrupt them then sit down slowly -motionless with no ground penetration noise allowed and they'll eventually get back up to full chorus that's when it gets really good missing link 04-18-2015, 05:55 PM peepers in my back yard down the BOG it's kinda like the twilight zone DEFFINING. later ML SR vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
