About 45 pounds, on pretty light tackle, Cohen has awesome stuff. My son thinks he's the only 14 year-old in the world who hasn't caught a 50 pounder. He was proud that he hooked it and landed it himself.

Need more threads like this here on S-B...... Jim in CT 07-12-2021, 04:04 PM We saw this a couple of times, it was insane...there were times we drifted right through that without a nibble, and there were times we doubled up instantly. Clammer 07-12-2021, 08:04 PM Just take him a couple more times / with a know-what-hes- doing- captain COHEN && he have his 50 & maybe 60 they use to bust our balls on this site ... boats don,t count .....well BI & EEZ should be in that same class . :sleeps: wdmso 07-13-2021, 10:25 AM We saw this a couple of times, it was insane...there were times we drifted right through that without a nibble, and there were times we doubled up instantly. Then hit the trolling motor on spot lock and see how it goes Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device I was wondering about that! The guy we were with didn't have a trolling motor, and with 15 other boats drifting around, maybe it's not safe? Would you do it in the middle of a fleet? fishgolf 07-13-2021, 04:31 PM That was a nice post Jim. Thank you! Clammer 07-13-2021, 04:31 PM NO :uhuh: wdmso 07-13-2021, 05:11 PM I was wondering about that! Would you do it in the middle of a fleet? if people are fishing a drift I would go with the flow and the drift. With the other boats.. But I used on the race the other day no real crowd and it worked pretty Good staying on a drop that was holding fish… But I would use it to slow my drift. Like a drift sock. Points the bow into the tide or wind and just makes it easier to fish straight up and down off the stern but no spot lock Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Slipknot 07-13-2021, 05:18 PM Congratulations! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device I saw the arrogance you mention the very 1st time I went to the race and it was a full on comm day it was just madness boats so close you could tell people’s eye color . And if they saw you were hooked up boats would just rush that area . I don’t think I left the Helm that whole day I was kinda freaked out by The experience. Don’t like crowds on land or on the water Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Jim in CT 07-15-2021, 07:42 AM if people are fishing a drift I would go with the flow and the drift.
