My 14 year-old gets his personal best with Cohen Babcock Sat night

About 45 pounds, on pretty light tackle, Cohen has awesome stuff. My son thinks he's the only 14 year-old in the world who hasn't caught a 50 pounder. He was proud that he hooked it and landed it himself.

Congrats to the angler, the captain and the Dad!

(You do realize the kid is wrecked now, right?) LOL Good stuff. Need more threads like this here on S-B......

We saw this a couple of times, it was insane...there were times we drifted right through that without a nibble, and there were times we doubled up instantly.

I am hoping to see that out there . Then hit the trolling motor on spot lock and see how it goes

I was wondering about that! The guy we were with didn't have a trolling motor, and with 15 other boats drifting around, maybe it's not safe? Would you do it in the middle of a fleet?

if people are fishing a drift I would go with the flow and the drift. With the other boats.. But I used on the race the other day no real crowd and it worked pretty Good staying on a drop that was holding fish…

But I would use it to slow my drift. Like a drift sock. Points the bow into the tide or wind and just makes it easier to fish straight up and down off the stern but no spot lock

That is good of you to do what the fleet is presently doing
Instead of showing up and throwing a wrench in the mix like a jerk
Seen it before
Just very arrogant

Oh and thanks for the post Jim
Fun times with your boy.

we had a couple of drifts when the tide was screaming, it was impossible to fish directly underneath you. i bet a trolling motor to slow drift would have been a great idea.

Congratulations! Good stuff

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
