I'm in arizona and it's at its peak now. Only sixty percent here. Certainly not life changing.

Watched it, but then it was like watching a Patriots game and i sort of lost interest.

It was cool at peak after a little slow start to the show. From what I saw of coverage totality areas, it looked very cool. But I am not in a car right now driving 3+ hours to get home.
The sky was clear, enough. I was surprised how much the temperature dropped... Waiting to hear from family who were in Burlington Vt. which had totality.
I had ordered a dozen pairs of glasses a month ago for family and close people. And I still had a dozen requests for them yesterday and today (mostly from the usual suspects who don't plan and figured that I would have a supply...)

Your partner would probably like it to last longer.

Well after not having my prayers answered to have aliens come down and vaporize my outlaw, I tried to emphasize on my disinterested kids the significance that the next time this happens they will prob all have kids of their own the same age as my youngest. And fortunately my outlaw won't be around. Hopefully.
Was still pretty cool and well worth thw investment wife spent on the glasses. She better not complain in 20 yrs that I held on to em for the next.

Ordered the glasses and passed them around, was fun to see, and worth seeing, but not worth traveling for.

was not something on my "must see" bucket list, even though it most likely will be the last one in my lifetime around here, just can't get jacked over things I have no control over. sitting in traffic or driving for hours for a 2-minute show is my idea of a colossal waste of time, something I don't have enough of... I'll be more excited over the full Strawberry moon- to me it means something.

oh yea- it's Trumps fault!:deadhorse:

Not much of a show
I’m within 10 miles of the line of totality.
Of course the wacko claimed responsibility on Truth Social but luckily both he and the eclipse are temporary.

They happen somewhere in the world every year, if they're willing to spend the money to travel and gamble on clear weather.

From the porch, it was life changing like the first time I saw Cats.

Me and the Wife made the ride up to Vermont, got 4 minutes of totality. It was actually pretty friggin awesome. Glad we did it. Ride home was a nightmare though, 4 hours up and 8 hours home.

I’m in Texas and was in the line of totality. It was much cooler than I anticipated and I’m glad I went out to watch it. They estimated 400k people traveled here to Dallas to see it. Crazy.

I stayed up in Rangeley ME and it was completely awesome. Not a cloud in the sky. I will do this again! and maybe again and again. Good excuse to get up and go somewhere new if nothing else. Planning it all out to avoid the masses does pay in spades I will say.
