goosefish 08-03-2004 11:10 PM

My friend got his first 30lb this morning!! 42 inches

Crafty Angler 08-04-2004 01:24 PM

Got an 18# last nite fishing Up Yonder -

Got it on an eel but it sure looked like a Habs in the water...:hihi:

JohnR 08-04-2004 08:35 PM

Crafty- hit across the end of that road like we discussed earlier. Wound up getting 3 4 pound bluefish on ONE spook. Didn't know WTH I had going on because at one point I saw stripes come out of the water, then I get close in and one blue comes unglued, so I only have two on, get the next one gone but the last one will need some whiskey on the gums for a few days...

Bluefish = Rats with Fins

Crafty Angler 08-04-2004 09:59 PM

Those rat bastages! Hey, where's Clamma when you need him...:hihi:

John, give me a shout later in the week - I may be able to get out on a work release if I keep my nose to the grindstone

Yup...paintin' here boss, got my mind right now...no ma'am, I'll never stay out til 3 AM again chasin' fish...:smokin:

Roseneath 08-04-2004 10:02 PM

Two bass just after dark on Slug-go, not far from home.

The waves were incredible. A set of three waves came and washed over the rock I was standing on. I moved before the waves arrived, the odd thing is... these waves had no buisness being that big. Over another two hours, I never saw another set like'em.

I'm not sure if I fear or respect the ocean... probably both.

Nebe 08-04-2004 11:15 PM

got a 32lb bass on a Habs needle tonight :humpty: Best part about it is that this puts me in 1st place for the Naragansett Fishing Clubs Jerry Sylvester Trophy

goosefish 08-04-2004 11:16 PM

Sweet fish Eben

Crafty Angler 08-05-2004 05:10 AM

Duuuuuuuude.....nice one, Eben :)

This will go well with the Habmeister - I dunno, Eben, this could also make you Hab's Angler of the Year so far....

With sandeels back in numbers - even in Newport, which we haven't seen since probably the late 70's - it looks like Habs rules.

It must be good to be the King, Habs

JHABS 08-05-2004 06:58 AM
