I think for this stupid tournament, every fish weighed in should be gutted after weighing it and checked for lead.

These two were caught back in july, 50.7 and 50.5, both 50" fish... Im 6'4, couldnt hold either of these fish with my arms extdended forward... Both fish are flat against my body...
|
I'm a little higher than a lot of you guys, I think it is in the low 40# range. But thats still 20# plus short of the weight Cowhunter is quoting.
Real hard to imagine how it is 60# plus, but pictures can sometimes play tricks. I'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt unless you know they are the cheatin' kind. |
The art of stuffing seems to be alive and well. When you learn from the best it becomes second nature.
|
Whether its a legit fish(or not) I'm not sure, but there will surely be more pics taken and an official weight registered if its legit...that's why I always say, "Show me the slips."
Cowhunter, you should have entitled the thread, "Another one for Greg Myerson!!!" :laugha: |
Cow hunter,
Nice set of twins you got there:humpty: |
Anyone know where he's weighing his fish? After seeing this and the picture of his 55# I know I've been going to the wrong scale!

Hard to tell but I'd her 35-40lbs. Looks too skinny to be that big.

55 lbs. says who? 45" to 46" maximum I'd say, and nowhere near 55 pounds, not even 40 if you ask me, gut ain't big enough or too hard to tell from picture. how does anyone hold a 55 pound anything out that far from their body for a picture?:smash: is this the point you are making? who is that? I know it's not you |

What are you trying to say? Obviously there is no way that fish is 55lb... Are you just trying to rile people up? Troll? Bored? What's the deal?? |

besides needless killing of many large...tournaments seem to bring out the very worst of some folk....i know that charities usually benefit, but the bad outweighs the good imo.
|
I'm not so sure it's not a big fish. Let's say the guy is 6 feet tall and has a forearm length from wrist to elbow of 12-13". Given the dimensions in the 2D photo from nose to tail that's a 52-56" fish depending on foreshortening. That picture is deceptive, the dimension from his wrist to the fish's nose is a lot bigger than you'd think.
The fact that it's held out from the fisherman, and somebody had to support his extended arm also indicate a high weight. -spence |
It is what it is, a crappy pic of a big fish. Weighed, entered, done

** caveat, I have no frigging clue who this Greg person is. this thread is just internet crap and furthers my point why I don't enter tournaments like this, it really brings out the worst in a lot of otherwise nice, respectable anglers** |
