Big dude, crappy cell camera (yeh, its night).

Hard to say, hard to tell how far it is out from the guy. Long fish, hard to figure out how fat and easy to fall into a wide range. Doesn't look like a trophy (north of 50) from the pic.

ya I can guess, are you saying it's a trophy?

most likely I'll be wrong because of the lousy pose and picture quality.

my 1st thought was as tattoobob, 18 pounds
but it could be over 20 pounds I suppose
I'll go with 17 pounds
I assume it's dead right

This fish was caught the other night by Onthewater tournament fisherman Greg Meyerson... Official weight was somewhere between 68 and 69 lbs...

The guys holding the fish must be Andre the Giants twin brother. I can;t see how that is possible. No way.

Yup.
That fish, judging by the man's arm, is 48inches max.

Judging by the hand/arm length and girth I would say 25 pounds-ish. Unless those guys are freakishly tall, then I would say 26 pounds.

The head looks much larger than it is due to the cut up gills

That fish wouldn't look almost 70# even if I were holding it.

Aren't the fish suppose to looked bigger when you hold the fish at arms length towards the camera?

If its a cell phone camera then the date and time sync up to the carrier network.....

looks way too small to weigh that much...
But in fairness, maybe he caught it on the new Point Jude "12inch Kow-Hunt-R Kast-Iron Skillet" (240 ounce) and the big girl swallowed it.
Or has anyone done the math?
Maybe in 2008 pounds weighed more than they do today & when you account for inflation, it MIGHT just work out in todays pounds...

No f'n way.

I've caught more than one 50lb+ fish (all released) and the fish in that photo doesn't look to have crossed that mark.
I can't see it being any where close to 68-69lbs.

For comparison, this fish barely broke the 30lb mark at 46"
I'm 6'3" and not holding the fish out...
