And all the politicians own stock in these companies |
Why is it just because people don't have power and they happen upon some linemen in a truck or restaurant people question it. You know you can't work these types of jobs straight out for 18 hrs without a break or two and some chow.

I wouldnt say it if I didn't see it. Minimum 15 trucks. This place is $25 a plate and up. Most plates in there are $40
I drive by there sometimes 4 times a day. It's not the type of place you see 15 power company trucks in the parking lot. Most people can't afford to eat there. Like I said they must be making good money. The trucks in driveways were in areas that have underground utilities and no-one lost power in this whole section. It was well past dinner time. Sorry if you take offense Bill. I voiced what I saw. Teddles I've been to 1260' in my life. I've climbed and installed more towers than fish you've caught. I used to be as skinny as you. Hey Rick - if you need a generator - check Advance Auto parts in Stoughton - they had some ;) |
The problem is finding restaurant that can accommodate a minimum of 15 trucks and within their work zone areas.
I am sure they are hungry for the best meals money can buy for their long hours of busting butt work. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Then right down the street less than 1/8 mile is 2 more places both with bigger parking lots and much more of a variety of food.......
The Uxbridge Surf n Turf is less than a mile, as is the renowned Alicante restaurant though this is closer to a 1/2 mile  |
Scott my tirade was not aimed at you just in general based on the crap I read everywhere. The whiners will whine no matter what.
I had a business install the other day and the woman was beside herself because I had to bill her to connect her jacks. She wanted it done for free. I asked her what she does for a living and she tells me she is an attorney, so I asked her if I need an attorney is she going to handle it for free... :smash: You can guess what her answer was... Also maybe the owner of the restaurant was happy he got his power back and saw how hard the guys were working and gave them a discount or free food. |
quote from a friend of mine, (who is still without power)
"The Lord works in mysterious ways… just like those NSTAR guys" his other quote is "Damn FEMA, wouldn't bring me ice for my beer" priorities..... |
FEMA will bring you ice at the expense of social security per some GOPs' radical ideas

Bill no worries. It's ALWAYS the rich slobs that complain about how much something costs. Did you ever notice that? It's never someone who really works for a living.

Goddamn bottled water is so expensive!
