Not all of them were 12".

Also note where he put the lip gaff :err:

ProfessorM 11-06-2013 07:56 PM

oh now I see what you were talking about, but it wouldn't fit in the holder the other way.:smash:

StriperZ 11-06-2013 08:15 PM

Sadly, I will be a Numby.

I caught the smallest sea robin on a diamond jig from Wood End light beach, where you can cast out to the deep water.

Back on track with what really matters, here is my submission for the Numbskull baby cow award:
14 inch bass landed on a Century SlingShot 1327 (2-5 ounce rating), VS250, 35 pound Fireline and 60 pound leader. :fishin:

i don't know, that might be 14.2738437 instead. :)

Latest standings:

TLAP- Leading the Numbskull division.

JLH- Leading the grand prize division with a 46" fish, but Numby's big one looks awful close at 45" fork length.

I named him fishstick

Back Beach 11-07-2013 03:20 PM

Attention Numby division contestants

Guys,

If you want to enter a Numby fish, please try to get a measurement. I ask this because it looks like we've got several fish submitted which are smaller than TLAP's leading fish, but no accurate measurements have been taken to confirm their size.

This presents a problem in that we have no means of measuring one fish against another, thus I must recognize anything measured as the leading fish, even though guys may have captured smaller ones but didn't measure. Fair enough?

niko 11-07-2013 03:28 PM

fishstick was just shy of 13". penn 460 with 50#pp with 50 pound seagar flouro. rod was a st Croix 8'6"

Its photoshopped....that fish was 15 inches all day long!! LOL!

ProfessorM 11-07-2013 04:11 PM

Bummer now I have to go back out and freeze my arse off to get a smaller one. I should have had Numbskull drop me off on shore to get one as we bumped into several tiny fish blitz's that day. The things you think of after the fact.

Don't bother. If you win I'm just going to regift you one of your own......probably that pink needlefish with the Mirror Coat removable wrapper.

ProfessorM 11-07-2013 08:07 PM

Well the promise of that little gem will get me a couple hours more of sleep tomorrow morning, thanks.

Just post a vote poll? Let the community vote on the smallest fish. Sounds fun and will get more people participating. Just an idea.
