The "It's Over" official thread
Please note, this post does not constitute the "it's over" contest beginning as that's confidential info known only by me. We're simply posting rules and awards right now so everyone knows what's at stake.
1. All entries must be landed in MA/RI/ME/NH/CT/NY waters and shore caught.
2. Provide sufficient proof of your catch. Photos strongly encouraged.
3. Fish can be either dead or alive, but don't kill one for the sake of a fishing lure, particularly one of mine.
4. Contest will begin when I say "it's over-contest begins" and end at midnight on Thanksgiving as we've traditionally done.
5. Pay attention for the start of this thing or you could miss out on a nice prize.
6. This thread will serve as tournament central. This means all ball busting, official entries, defamatory posts, and other nonsense related to the contest must be posted here.
7. Awards will be for the following categories:
"Get a life" award- Be the first to enter a fish into the tourney. Because you're online all day and viewing this thread multiple times in order to get a leg up on the competition, you must have no life and thus, a distinct advantage. Provided you can catch a single fish before the hordes pile on, you'll win the Chef Chris plugs for being our first entry as he has so generously offered up.
The "Numbskull" award- Considered by many to be the gold standard in surfcasting achievements, the "Numby" prize will be awarded to the angler who lands the smallest fish (by length) on the heaviest tackle. Being the nice guy and good Samaritan he is, Numbskull has offered up some of his fine work as fodder for this potentially nebulous achievement.
"Grand Champion"- This one speaks for itself. Catch the biggest fish (by length) and win the booty which will include the LIFishVT plugs (thanks John) and any other swag you guys want to pile on with. If entries are close, winner will be determined by weight or any other means deemed necessary.
"Late Entry" award- This one will go to the last S-B er to enter a fish before the midnight deadline on Thanksgiving. Seeing many like to fish BI at this time of year, you'll win the neon green needlefish from Piemma as testament to your commitment.
Ok, stay tuned for the ribbon cutting as it could come at any time and good luck to our fine field of participants, I hope.

With what I have seen lately the numbskull award should be a heated race.

Sweet BM....
With this phenomenal catch you're taking home the "get a life" award and the Chef Chris plugs.
Additionally, you're now leading in three categories....

Nice Biteme, real nice. I had a similar colored surfster maybe 15 years ago
that caught like crazy one year when nothing else worked. I'll have to pull it
out again this year.
