The end is near........ ?

Let's face it, it's a pretty #*^%$$# fruity emoticon, but dammit, I just can't help myself.

:happy::happy::happy:

beachwalker 01-30-2004 11:07 PM

no problem Chuck. I just hope it happens and isn't me getting too excited about a weather forecast that is 5 days out :(

goosefish 01-30-2004 11:42 PM

They're calling for warm and rain. East winds baby. At this point 35 would feel real good--but 40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nor-easter 01-31-2004 12:39 AM

Hopefully the Easterly breeze will clear the ice out of the outer sound and the Island of Nancy Tookit can become connected by boat to the United States.

Buzzards Gulch needs some cleaning out of ice as well.

My short experience of living on Islands in Winter is that if you know you can get off by boat or plane one can suffer through the desolation. When you know you cannot get off no way then the desolation really settles in around ones ears and becomes over whelming.

"Oh No! That cannot be the LAST BOTTLE!"

beachwalker 01-31-2004 12:53 AM

Not EVERYONE is a drunk in these parts . All I have to do is actually pay attention to the people around Hyannis to realize one has a choice.....

Me ? This winer work, work and more work. Things are busy and there is a thaw coming (please), however brief and we are going to enjoy it.

One of the most beautiful things one can do is drive out to Coskata on a winters day.

Very interesting place. No Greenheads :smash:

Life is good

:)

Think of it this way, ONLY 29 days and it is MARCH and the ice will be gone!!! 29 days!!!
Will be fishing in no time!

Crafty Angler 01-31-2004 10:16 AM

I dunno, I don't wanna snow on anybody's parade here but I don't think I'd bet the mortgage payment on all the ice being gone by March 1... :wall:

A Patriots win and a warm up this week WILL be the BEST gift I could receive this winter :)

beachwalker 02-02-2004 12:00 PM

Ok, Pats have won now on to the warm up.

this is sweet. hope it holds for a while............:(

chris L 02-02-2004 12:26 PM

I thought the sky was falling or divine intervention .
wasnt the end in 1984 ?

beachwalker 02-02-2004 01:32 PM

hehe

beachwalker 02-03-2004 11:46 PM

Ok,

Not to keep beating this one but this weather feels pretty good.

I don't care if it is raining, it is 43 friggin degrees out.

Yes !

the Pats won and we have a thaw. However brief it may be.

It just makes these last handful of weeks just a little more bearable :)

beachwalker 02-06-2004 06:01 PM

rain :)

almost an inch and then rain by 11:30 :)

Let it rain :D

Nebe 02-06-2004 06:08 PM

Rain shcmain.... my gutters are frozen solid, so the water is pouring over the sides... sooooo the water is pooling up around my foundation.. In about 2 hours my basement is gonna flood:(

beachwalker 02-06-2004 06:09 PM

ah jeez :(

sorry to hear that

put yer waders on

Nebe 02-06-2004 06:22 PM

Even worse is that I live in a raised ranch type of house (70's deckhouse) and when the basement floods, my den floods, the landry room floods, the bathroom floods.... yikes!

got french drain? I dont yet...... maybe tomorrow:D:

fishweewee 02-06-2004 06:29 PM

French drains are gay.

goosefish 02-06-2004 06:31 PM

Eben if you need help pumping give me a call. Should I bring waders or would hip boots be OK.

I'm loving this rain-------------------its melting the ice on the pond:happy:
