Hopefully the Easterly breeze will clear the ice out of the outer sound and the Island of Nancy Tookit can become connected by boat to the United States.
Buzzards Gulch needs some cleaning out of ice as well.
My short experience of living on Islands in Winter is that if you know you can get off by boat or plane one can suffer through the desolation. When you know you cannot get off no way then the desolation really settles in around ones ears and becomes over whelming.
"Oh No! That cannot be the LAST BOTTLE!"

Not EVERYONE is a drunk in these parts . All I have to do is actually pay attention to the people around Hyannis to realize one has a choice.....
Me ? This winer work, work and more work. Things are busy and there is a thaw coming (please), however brief and we are going to enjoy it.
One of the most beautiful things one can do is drive out to Coskata on a winters day.
Very interesting place. No Greenheads
Life is good

I dunno, I don't wanna snow on anybody's parade here but I don't think I'd bet the mortgage payment on all the ice being gone by March 1...

Ok,
Not to keep beating this one but this weather feels pretty good.
I don't care if it is raining, it is 43 friggin degrees out.
Yes !
the Pats won and we have a thaw. However brief it may be.
It just makes these last handful of weeks just a little more bearable

Even worse is that I live in a raised ranch type of house (70's deckhouse) and when the basement floods, my den floods, the landry room floods, the bathroom floods.... yikes!
