Really, really dumb question
I always look at the wind forcast and my weekly fishing plan is based on where I believe the winds will be best , normally that means an onshore wind. I was looking at some charts today of the shoreline and trying to calculate goods spots for different winds and suddenly I was very confused,
Here's the dumb question If the forecast is for SW winds, does that mean the wind is blowing in the direction SW or from the SW????? If I threw sand in the air, would it blow SW? Am I crazy, I'm not sure why this is confusing me.... |
from.
and remember, there's no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid people:D |
Wind directions are given from which the wind blows. A SW wind comes from the SW but blows to the NE. A NE wind comes from the NE and goes to the SW.
SW wind is coming out of the SW(the sand would fly NE)
West is best.......East is least!
ya but East is best for the ride home.
Forget the sand, pizz into the south west and you'll never forget where its coming out of.
Good thing I asked! So if its a SW wind , if I face SW, the wind will be in my face. Thanks
If its a SW wind in RI , you should go fishing! :)
