M.v. Squid Fly
 

While on the Vinyard, a friend of mine had some flys he tied in black /yellow as a bait fish patten on a 1/0 hook, they worked great he caught stripers one after an outher,YES,I was next to him while he ws catching all thoes fish,I have a patten Iuse all the time there an it works all the time also BUT, to have another one do the same was even better,(nothing like a back-up fly) WELL I took his color patten an made my MATHERS VINYARD SQUID FLY.
it's on a 2/0 long shank EXTRA LONG BLACK feathers,(splayed around the hook) gold flash,
yellow chennile, just enough to put an eye on. then EXTRA LONG bunny, thats it.:happy: :happy: :happy:

P.S.I also recommend tying them in 1's an 1/0 to 4/0 which I have already done.;)
