cooking help

Got a 3 rib rib roast and don't know the weight so I'm gonna have to go by temp and I've never done this before believe it or not.

Question:I have an Ecko stainless steel meat thermometer,is it meant to stay in the meat through the cooking process or just for checking purposes?

All set.I can use mine throughout the cooking process.

3 ribs is 7 to 8 1/2 pounds, about 15 minutes a pound

Usaually figure 15-20 mins/ lb. at 350deg. You can find the weight by didividing the per pound weight into the total cost.

Preheat the oven to 450 deg then after placing the roast in for 15 mins reduce to 350 deg.

Keep the thermometer in the center of the roast away from the bone.

It's gonna be great. :hihi:

Merry Christmas!
