Good For Firewood?

Just took up the hardwood floor in our dining room....white pine! Is it good to burn in a woodstove ya think? Could heat my shop for awhile?:uhuh:

pine is going to give you alot of creosote Lawrence.

Will burn quick too.

Is white pine harder than yellow pine?

UserRemoved1 10-02-2008 05:54 PM

white pine is northern pine which is softer than yellow pine which grows down south.

If the floor was treated with polyeurathane (?) it shouldn't be burned, unless you like that chenically enhanced aroma.:bl:
