chesapeak bay

can anyone tell me what the fishing it like there in early august. is it worth a trip down from lancaster, PA.

depends how far you want to drive and whether you have a boat. northern end of the bay will be slow since it will be bath water. Deeper water near bay bridge and south will hold fish. Anything an easy drive from lancaster will be a waste of time from shore.

we'll have a boat. father in-law says he's close to tilghman's island. that's pretty far up north i think.

that is far enough south to get fishin deeper water with a boat. Looking at 3 hours drive from Lancaster. I love that area though, so i would go fish or not.
