Yep, born in Pawtucket, graduated from St Ray's in 1971. Or just plain old "Saints" if you're a Pawtucketeer. Hopefully, I'll get to retire to South County if I can convince da bride--selling point, 20 minutes to Foxwoods, 20 minutes in the other direction to the Christmas Tree Store in Warwick--and the malls, too.
Tim, Dubs and I had a blast over the Vineyard---Tim is an amazing fisherman, he adapts to strange waters faster than anyone I've ever seen. We found fish in the teens at the Gut the first night we were there, and stayed on them the whole week. I'm not strong enough yet to do the Death March (can I use that term here without causing offense

) so we didn't try Squibnocket, which is where most of the daily winners were coming from. The action at the Gut was steady, and to my great dismay and surprise, eels were being ignored while they were whacking the crap out of plugs. I took one fish on a snake the whole week, and that was just as the tide was starting to move after slack. And I fished them for at least a couple of hours every night thinking I had a better shot at a slob with an eel over a plug. The bite cooled Friday under the full moon with calm winds--that's the night I needed the snakes, but we burned all of them up during the week and didn't replace them since we were doing so well on artificials.
