I just got back from Bermuda, on one of those "cruise ships" mentioned. We ported at the Naval Dockyard,, opposite end of St. Georges'......

Pretty tight ride into the port, like stated....I never thought I'd see a Cruise ship have to inch it's way through some warning buoys trying to reach the port..... ...gotta be fish in that channel when the big ship's aren't in motion .... ??? . ...

First time there and I thought it was a Beautiful place. Yeah, pretty commercial the closer you get to Hamilton. HorseShoe Bay was Awesome, sand still had some pink in it,,, very CLEAN beach w/showers soap/Corona Stand and Grill.,,, that was probably the highlight of the island for me. Water was AWESOME,,, nothing here to compare it to. I did see the resident fishermen working the bridges like Clamma said....catching small fish,///not sure they were chubs though. Mainly bottom feeders,, being caught with small crabs.

I didn't rent a taxi, I paid for the BUS day/pass. $12 and you can get on and off all day. I didn't think that was bad. I took a tour of the island and didn't have to take a $75.00 "excursion".

I was only there for about 8 hours so fishing was out of the question///~ Place was clean and people were friendly, maybe they prepared in advance for the Cruise ship ?? Or maybe cuz I spoke their language ??? ...
