If I'm going to flip eels I bring a 9' lami GSB with 17 mono to boot. That gets me to seven, sometimes eight. What you got??
Well, I don't know if I have the expertise to add anything to what 2na (Mike) has to say. But on the beach I bring at least 3 rods. 1) 10 foot conventional Lamiglas with an Abu Garcia 7000 C3 (or CL) with 20# mono (hate braid on conventional for bait) for casting bait (sand eels), 2) a 10 foot St. Croix spinning (up to 4 oz) with a Penn 750 with 30# braid for plugging when I need the distance and 3) an 8 foot St. Croix (up to 2.5 oz) with a Penn 460 Slammer with 30# braid when I want to walk the beach for a distance and want to conserve weight and energy.

So at least 3 on my truck at all times.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
