I don't know why people knock the Banjo Minnow so badly. When I used to fresh water fish back in college, we used them all the time and they truly were amazing. They would out fish any other artificial we would use (rapalas, power bait, etc). Caught tons of large mouth bass on them.......and they have a kick arse tune that goes with them. i'm not sure whats so special about them,,,,but
i was out in the boat on a reservoir in hopkinton and doing ok...
i am always lure hunting when i fish as a habit and noticed a soft plastic minow stuck in a bush....
i powered my way in there to get it just for fun....
it was a Banjo minnow...
i through it on my hook and checked out the action close to the boat just for the hell of it and a small bass slammed it.
so i proceeded to really fish the heck out of it and caught 45 more fish ... so i can highly attest to them working just as good as they say they do... and the only reason i quit catching fish on it was because by then it was shredded .....
