Seems to me that when the commercial fishing crowd can come up with a believable explanation as to what's happened to the once healthy populations of cod, pollock, whiting, bluefin tuna, swordfish, river herring, menhaden, winter flounder, summer flounder, mackerel, etc., then perhaps they'll find a few more sympathetic ears when they're arguing for an opportunity to finish the job on the striped bass population.
