For me I have to gauge if the current is stronger than the wind and then I go to the down wind/current side of the dock and let the elements to the work for me... If you try the other side by yourself you are going to be in some trouble. Once you get a system down it's easy..
Downeast boats like mine with 3+ ft full keels have their advantages !

I used to FLY on the drift in my Parker, not so much anymore !!!

Trying to figure that one out.. buckets or a chute might be in my future. Things you don't think about before purchase. I'll take the pros of the pilot house though. Love this boat so far.
